DAR ES SALAAM: TANZANIA and Egypt have discussed ways to strengthen strategic cooperation in the defence and aerospace technology sectors, including the exchange of expertise, knowledge and technology for the mutual benefit of both countries.

Tanzania’s Minister of Defence and National Service, Dr Rhimo Nyansaho, held talks with Egypt’s Minister of Defence and Military Production and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, in El Alamein, Egypt.

The talks were held as Tanzania participated in the El Alamein International Exhibition for Aerospace and Advanced Technologies (ELIAS).

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed opportunities to develop and strengthen cooperation between Tanzania and Egypt in defence and aerospace technology, as well as the importance of exchanging expertise, knowledge and technology in areas of mutual interest.

Tanzania’s participation in the ELIAS exhibition is also aimed at building and strengthening strategic relations with international partners, particularly in the defence, aerospace and advanced technology sectors, based on shared interests and opportunities for technological development.

The exhibition continues to provide Tanzania with opportunities to learn from and exchange expertise with various countries and international stakeholders in the aerospace and advanced technology sectors.
