Dr Samia extends her Maulid Day best wishes to all Tanzanians, calls for love, compassion, tolerance

DAR ES SALAAM: PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has extended her best wishes and blessings to Muslims and all Tanzanians as they mark the Maulid holiday, urging them to uphold love, compassion, tolerance and care for others.

In her message, President Samia said the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) should serve as a reminder of the importance of living by the principles of love, peace and solidarity. She also urged Tanzanians to celebrate the occasion peacefully and joyfully while maintaining national unity and solidarity.

President Samia prayed for God to continue blessing Tanzania, preserving the country’s peace and stability, and enabling its people to work together to build a nation founded on development and shared prosperity.

Meanwhile, Zanzibar President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, extended his best wishes to Muslims during the Maulid celebrations commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He urged believers to uphold the Prophet’s teachings by promoting love, peace, solidarity and good deeds within society.
